Behind the scenes at a fabric warehouse.

We’ve been extra busy now that swimwear production has started. Previous to this week. NYC was on pause, including the manufacturing sector. With things back up and running, we made a stop at the fabric warehouse and at the factory this week. Join our FB page to come along on our Live journeys.

21 billion pounds of textile waste end up in landfills in the U.S. alone. To combat this, Mirame are committed to utilizing overage fabrics to produce our swimwear. This is fabric that is excess when a mill knits their yardage. We have partnered with a supplier of this overage to source our fabric. Want to learn more about textile waste, and it’s impact on the environment? You can check out organizations like Remake.

There are wonderful resources out there for both people who want to repurpose fabric, and those that have textile waste to donate. Organizations like FabScrap are an amazing resource.
