10 years ago we created Mirame with the intention of producing fashion, but doing it in an responsible way. We wanted to create beautiful garments that did not contribute to the textile waste or carbon emissions that are so often a byproduct of garment construction. In this video, we walk you through the details of our commitment to the Earth.
Not only is our swimwear made in New York City, but our care and size labels, and branded labels are as well. We source our materials either in NY’s Garment District, or the surrounding tri-state area. This eliminates the need to truck and ship items across large distances, this reducing carbon emissions.
Another benefit of our swimwear is the fact that you can wear the pieces throughout the year as a base layering piece. So that means less items to buy, which also means less textile wast. It’s win win!
