This was such as fun week for all of us at Mirame. VitaCoco, our favorite Coconut water company was our official sponsor for the Curve Expo NY. (Anyone who knows me knows that I love Coconuts so much, I named my cat Coconut!) For three whole days we previewed our collections for Holiday and S/S '14 to buyers, press, and photographers at the Jacob Javits Center. The collection was well received, and we all stayed pleasantly hydrated!
Our Mirame posters were a hit, in big thanks to the beautiful hair styled by our friend and Salon Topaz owner Lisa DeMaria. Buyers also loved the Wonder Woman inspired suit called the Debby (coming out this Spring). I wore it the last day of the show, and people were literally stopping me in my tracks to find out where to get it. I said 'Come on down to booth 332!" We know it is going to be a bestseller for next season.
We met some new friends, including many designers. We loved Katheryne of Nais . We also got a kick out of the Miel sisters, with their beautiful line of functional and sweet basics. We are happy that these French ladies crossed the pond!
We supported our sponsors by talking to people about VitaCoco. We introduced a new grandmother to the product for the first time. We also met an amazing teenager named Tia Livingston who was fresh off the plane from her Gold Medal victory at the AAU Junior Olympics. She is now training for the world qualifier. She loves VitaCoco so much, she has it shipped by the case to her hotel room when she travels for competitions. We will be seeing her on the scene, and we hope to make some beautiful bathing suits and track gear for her in the future.
