Mirame Minis Style Sundays - Ages 11-16
Join us for six weeks of fashion design Sunday edition. Students will be learn the basics of designing, cutting and sewing. They will be guided by the teacher in how to create and execute a design. Fashion illustration and garment construction will be taught. The semester will culminate in a runway coaching session and fashion show.
Classes will be Sundays from 10:00 - 11:00.
Suitable for children 11-16. Class runs for 6 weeks, 11/1 - 12/13 (no class 11/29)
About the Teacher:
Melinda Huff is the Founder of Mirame, a womenswear brand designed in the Hudson Valley and made in NYC. Melinda is a mother of three who was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Contemplative Psychology and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. She also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology where she studied Fashion Design.
Besides being a professional Fashion Designer, Melinda formally taught at the Westchester Fashion Academy for Children, and has extensive experience working with children and families in the Early Intervention program.
